PBO Lab ElectroStatic (ES) Palette

The ElectroStatic Palette (ES) is a Module for PBO Lab that provides a set of elements for modeling electrostatic lenses and accelerator columns. The Electrostatic Palette Module includes three types of einzel lenses, two types of electrostatic acceleration columns, three types of electrostatic prisms and two types of electrostatic quadrupoles. All ES Palette Module elements (Pieces) work with the TRACE 3-D Application Module. However, some ES Palette Pieces now also work with the TRANSPORT, TURTLE and DECAY-TURTLE Modules of PBO Lab 3.0. Contact AccelSoft for further information on the status of ES Palette support for these Modules. The PBO Lab Beam Piece has a built-in capability for defining and setting up equivalent continuous (2-D) beams for the TRACE 3-D Module. The space charge simulation of either bunched (3-D) or dc (2-D) beams is thus readily handled.
