Description: The Particle Beam Optics Laboratory (PBO Lab) is a graphic environment developed for use in the design and analysis of particle optics systems and accelerator beamlines. The PBO Lab application software consists of three basic parts: (1) the graphic user interface (GUI), (2) a fully integrated interactive tutorial system, (3) analysis tools for single particle trajectories and beam envelopes. PBO Lab is also designed to work with a number of popular particle optics and accelerator computation engines. PBO Lab add-on modules may be installed that fully integrate each of the available computation engines within the PBO Lab environment. PBO Lab with add-on modules for one or more of these computation engines are described on separate Product Specification sheets. The PBO Lab application software and add-on modules are based on the Multi-Platform Shell for Particle Accelerator Related Codes (S.P.A.R.C. MP) software technology.
