Description: The Particle Beam Optics Laboratory (PBO Lab) is a graphic user interface environment developed for use in the design and analysis of particle optics systems and accelerator beam lines. The DECAY-TURTLE Module requires the PBO Lab 2.1 Basic Package, and provides a fully integrated DECAY-TURTLE computation engine module. The PBO Lab 2.1 Basic Package is summarized in a separate Product Specification. The DECAY-TURTLE Module allows users the ability to trace both the original (Parent) particles and two decay products (Daughters) for radioactive beams. DECAY-TURTLE is a FORTRAN code for simulating the propagation of charged particles through an accelerator beamline or magnetic transport system. It is similar to the TURTLE program in many respects, but includes the additional abilities of particular interest to modeling radioactive beams. The PBO Lab Basic Package and add-on Application Modules are based on the Multi-Platform Shell for Particle Accelerator Related Codes (S.P.A.R.C. MP) software technology. The Professional Version includes the complete FORTRAN source code for DECAY-TURTLE so that users can create their own custom versions of the PBO Lab with DECAY-TURTLE.
